how do I build cofidenceWould you like to build unshakable confidence in all situations? Let’s face it who wouldn’t want to feel the power of complete confidence in all situations?

The truth is though that we can only hope to achieve unshakable confidence in about 95% of all situations. There are a few NLP exercises that will build confidence, but the easiest and most straightforward method is to run through the NLP circle of excellence exercise.

Believe me when I say that 95% confidence in all situations would be a massive jump in confidence levels for most of us. It would allow us to stick our necks out and follow our dreams, rather than holding back most of the time.

It’s a fact that most of us can achieve anything when we are confident of success. To experience and feel the power of true confidence will ensure that we can go on to achieve the success’s we desire.

The Power Of Confidence

Most of us will have experienced the power of confidence sometime in our lives. Feeling totally confident is such a wonderful and memorable event that it would be hard to forget the experience. The power of confidence can also be felt and experienced during the circle of excellence exercise, so please give it a try and see for yourself.

excellence circle nlpDoing the simple NLP circle of excellence exercise just once will allow you to experience a powerful feeling of confidence. Once you’ve experienced it you will want more. The good news is that by doing this exercise on a daily basis for as long as you need will train you to summon the unshakable confidence that you dream of, any time that you need it. For some people it will take a matter of days to feel awesome, for others it may take longer. I personally do it every morning as I find it so invigorating. It really sets me up for the busy day ahead.

Take A Moment

The NLP circle of excellence exercise involves increasing your confidence levels by building upon any previous positive memories that you may have. So please take a few minutes to recall at least one separate event when you:

  • Felt highly motivated
  • Felt proud of yourself
  • Felt confident
  • Were completely relaxed
  • Had a really good laugh.

Now recall one by one those past experiences, feel those individual feelings of motivation, pride, confidence, relaxation and laughter. Recall all the people and sounds around you, enjoy all the pleasures of each memory as if you are reliving the event.

Steps To Doing The Exercise

First read through the exercise and then listen to the audio below:

1. Relive one by one those past experiences, feel those individual feelings of motivation, pride, confidence, relaxation and laughter. Recall all the people and sounds around you, enjoy all the pleasures of each memory as if you are reliving the event.

2. Imagine a circle on the ground in front of you, it could be a rope or chalk circle just large enough for you to stand in, or as large as you wish. This is your own circle of excellence and it’s yours.

3. Now think of the time when you ‘felt highly motivated’. When you start to feel that emotional state of motivation, step into your circle and remain there until you feel the feelings subside, then step out.

4. Now do it for your other positive memories when you:

  • Felt proud of yourself
  • Felt confident
  • Were completely relaxed
  • Had a really good laugh.

5. You can also listen to the Circle of excellence, which is a short audio that will build your confidence based on your positive past experiences.

Enjoy Your Confidence

Unshakable self confidence will give you the freedom to make mistakes and cope with failure without feeling that your world has come to an end, or that you are worthless.

Self confidence doesn’t consist of knowing for sure something will go well. It has more to do with relaxing with the certainty that you can handle uncertainty, even if that means some kind of failure.

Real self confidence will give you an overriding sense of “whatever happens, I can handle it”. So don’t look for certainty; instead, accept uncertainty, and learn to love it.
